Plum (susina)
The plum is the fruit (drupe) of the Prunus Domestica, a tree of the Rosaceae family originating in Asia, which produces fruit called plums.
In the wild, the tree can reach a considerable height and develop an impressive breadth. The flowers are white and the fruits, which range in colour from green to red and deep purple, can be round or elongated and between 3 and 9 cm in diameter.

The plum is one of the first fruits cultivated by humans; evidence of plums has been found from the Stone Age.
